Job summary

Forrest Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting a Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist in the UK. The role covers end-to-end procurement, supplier performance, inventory control and logistics coordination to drive cost efficiency.

You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms and oversee compliance with ISO standards. The successful candidate will combine strategic sourcing with hands-on execution, supporting demand planning and ERP/MRP initiatives within a global manufacturing export

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant degree or CIPPS qualification.
• Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management.
• Strong cost-control and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and manage raw materials, consumables and services to meet production deadlines.
• Develop supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
• Implement cost-saving opportunities across procurement.
• Manage supplier approvals and ensure ISO9001 & ISO4001 compliance.
• Monitor stock levels and minimise excess inventory with production.
• Support demand planning and forecasting activities.
• Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure stock accuracy.
• Analyse supply chain performance and recommend improvements.
• Assist with ERP/MRP system implementations and process improvements.

Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist

Sale Up to £31,000 (includes bonus)

A leading global manufacturing & export business has an exciting opportunity for a proven buyer to join their team. You shall manage end-to-end supply chain processes, ensuring materials and services are available whilst driving cost efficiency and compliance. This is a great opportunity to combine strategic procurement, supplier performance management, inventory control and logistics co-ordination.

• Source and produce raw materials, consumables and services to meet production deadlines


• Developing strong supplier relationships and negotiating favourable terms


• Implementing cost-saving opportunities


• Managing supplier approval and compliance in line with ISO9001 & ISO4001


• Monitoring stock levels, working closely with production to minimise excess inventory


• Support demand planning & forecasting


• Liaising with warehouse and production teams to ensure stock accuracy, resolving any discrepancies


• Analyse supply chain performance, producing reports and recommendations for improvement


• Supporting the implementation of ERP/MRP systems & process enhancements

This role would suit a confident decision maker who is self-driven, with relevant Supply-chain and buying experience, alongside a relevant degree or CIPPS qualification.
