Job summary

Kingscroft Professional Resources is recruiting a Supply Chain Analyst or Materials Controller for a specialist manufacturing business. You will work in a production planning and materials team to manage materials entering production and meet production demand.

You will bring experience in materials, production or logistics supply teams, with expert knowledge of MRP systems. You will be data driven, comfortable placing orders and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• MRP interrogation to align materials demand with production plans.
• Release of purchase orders and supplier schedules in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate supplier planning (MOQ, lead times).
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure deliveries align with MRP and demand profiles.
• Expedite or de-expedite supplier deliveries based on fluctuating demand.
• Communicate order confirmations and delivery dates promptly.
• Assist with stock level monitoring and highlighting excesses or shortages.
• Prepare routine materials supply chain reports, KPIs and inventory metrics.
• Maintain import documentation (C88) for HMRC compliance.
• Support Materials Manager and procurement on day-to-day tasks.
• Assist with annual company inventory stock-takes or audits.

Kingscroft have been asked to work with a specialist manufacturing business to recruit a Supply Chain Analyst. As the ideal candidate you will have experience working in a materials, production or logistics supply team with expert knowledge of MRP systems and experience of supporting manufacturing operations. You will be data orientated and confident placing orders, working with suppliers and internal teams.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• MRP interrogation ensuring materials demand aligns with the production plans
• Release of purchase orders, supplier schedules in a timely accurate manner
• Maintain accurate supplier planning (MOQ, lead-time etc.)
• Facilitate supplier coordination ensuring deliveries are aligned to MRP and supplier schedule demand profile
• Expedite de-expedite supplier deliveries in accordance with fluctuating actual demand plans
• Ensure timely communication of order confirmations, delivery dates, and changes
• Assist with stock level monitoring and highlight potential excesses, shortages or risk
• Prepare routine materials supply chain reports, including KPIs, delivery performance, and inventory metrics
• Maintain import documentation (C88 etc.) in order to comply with HMRC import compliance
• Support the Materials Manager and procurement team as needed with day to day tasks
• Support once yearly companywide inventory stock-take for any needed internal or offsite inventory counts or audits
