Interaction Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator to join their busy manufacturing operation in Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire.

You will raise and manage purchase orders, monitor stock, support production planning, and maintain master data in ERP/MRP systems, while keeping suppliers and internal teams aligned.

This is a temporary to permanent role with an immediate start and a route to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supply chain, materials planning, purchasing or inventory control within manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, inventory management and master data.
  • Experience managing purchase orders and supplier relationships.
  • Experience supporting production planning and scheduling.
  • Strong data accuracy and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Raise and manage purchase orders for consumables, operational materials and production components.
  • Chasing overdue purchase orders and liaising with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Monitoring stock levels and usage of consumables and paint and placing orders as required.
  • Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Maintaining accurate master data, including supplier lead times and pricing.
  • Setting up new part codes within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Providing the Customer Service team with accurate component lead times.
  • Resolving supplier invoice queries.
  • Ensuring supplier documentation is retained and kept up to date.
  • Supporting the planning of the foundry department.
  • Expediting works orders to support production schedules and minimise downtime.
  • Working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure materials and services are available to meet demand.
  • Reporting discrepancies or damaged goods and coordinating resolutions with suppliers.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the business.

Salary: Up to £32,000 depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, normal office hours

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability of raw materials, consumables and production components, while supporting purchasing, inventory control and production planning.

About You

We are looking for someone with previous experience in supply chain, materials planning, purchasing or inventory control, ideally gained within a manufacturing environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems, particularly inventory management and master data.
  • Experience managing purchase orders and supplier relationships.
  • Experience supporting production planning and scheduling.
  • The ability to resolve delivery issues, stock discrepancies and invoice queries.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • High levels of accuracy when working with data.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using business systems.
  • The ability to work effectively in a busy manufacturing environment.
