As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for driving quality performance across a portfolio of suppliers, ensuring compliance to aerospace quality standards and supporting continuous improvement throughout the supply chain. Working closely with suppliers, Quality, Engineering and Operations teams, you will lead supplier development activities, resolve quality issues and drive sustainable improvements to enhance product quality and operational performance.

Key responsabilities :
Supplier Performance & Improvement
  • Manage the quality performance of a portfolio of suppliers, driving continuous improvement initiatives and Supplier Quality Improvement Plans to reduce PPM and supplier escape events.
  • Promote long-term supplier development and support the delivery of robust, sustainable quality improvements.
Supplier Quality & Problem Solving
  • Lead containment, root cause investigations and corrective action activities for supplier-related quality issues.
  • Drive permanent corrective actions and read-across activities using structured problem-solving tools, including 8D and 5 Why analysis.
  • Support the resolution of supplier escapes and ensure actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
Supplier Auditing & Compliance
  • Conduct supplier audits in line with AS9100, customer and Safran requirements.
  • Ensure supplier products, processes and quality systems remain compliant and capable of meeting business expectations.
  • Support Quality Management System compliance and ensure investigations and reject notes are completed in a timely manner.
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
  • Build strong supplier relationships through regular remote engagement and onsite visits.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve complex supplier quality issues and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide quality performance reporting and corrective action updates to support management reviews and business decision-making.
What will you bring to the role? Essential:
  • A good understanding of problem solving techniques and their application to resolve production quality issues
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to work well in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to use own initiative, meeting set objectives with internal and external stakeholders.
  • AS9100 Lead Auditor Training or Industry equivalent.
Desirable:
  • APQP experience is desirable
  • Ideally holds CQI accreditation
