Job summary

Brompton Bicycle Limited in the UK is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our quality team in Greenford. You’ll work closely with suppliers to ensure processes and products meet design intent and quality requirements, with emphasis on supplier verification and problem prevention.

The role covers root cause analysis, corrective actions, and supporting New Product Introduction while managing customer-specific requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred, HNC or equivalent experience in similar role.
• Substantial experience in a volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Quality Assurance.
• Experience of Supplier Quality Development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier validation and quality audits, lead supplier approval processes (including APQP).
• Collaborate with Engineering and suppliers to define process parameters and support new product introductions.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor and report supplier performance through KPIs, PPAP, and quality data to drive improvement.
• Promote Lean/Six Sigma, PFMEA, and error-proofing techniques to reduce defects.
