Job summary

Brompton Bicycle Limited in Greenford, London is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support the Supplier Quality Manager. You will drive supplier validation, audits, and continuous improvement to ensure processes and products meet design intent and quality requirements.

You will lead APQP/PPAP activities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions, while collaborating with Engineering to optimise manufacturing capability and NPI.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred, HNC or equivalent experience in similar role.
• Substantial experience in a volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience of working in Quality Assurance.
• Experience of Supplier Quality Development.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate supplier validation and quality audits; lead supplier approval processes (APQP).
• Collaborate with Engineering and suppliers to define process parameters and support new product introduction and first-off approvals.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions; conduct on-site verification.
• Monitor supplier performance via KPIs, PPM, warranty, and cost recovery; drive improvements.
• Promote process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA, MSA and error-proofing techniques.

We are looking for a [Role Title] to help us keep moving differently. **About the role**Supports the Supplier Quality Manager by working closely with suppliers to ensure processes, systems, and products meet customer design intent and quality requirements. The role focuses on supplier verification, defect prevention, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement, while managing customer-specific requirements and providing technical support. It ensures robust product quality through New Product Introduction, minimises quality costs, and safeguards continuity of supply.
