Job description

Join us as a Supplier Manager at Barclays. In this role, you will manage and monitor supplier risk and performance to meet the requirements of the Barclays Third Party Service Provider Policy and Standards. This includes control execution, commercial management, relationship management, and risk management.

Purpose of the Role

To manage and monitor supplier risk and performance in accordance with Barclays policies and standards, focusing on control execution, commercial management, and relationship and risk management.

Accountabilities
  1. Manage and execute supplier control processes, oversee supplier performance, and monitor KPIs to ensure expectations are met.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholder groups to produce deliverables that meet procurement needs, policies, and standards, mitigate risks, and align supplier relationships with the bank’s strategic goals.
  3. Identify suitable suppliers through market research, capability analysis, and contract negotiation.
  4. Stay informed about industry trends and developments related to supplier management by attending conferences and training.
  5. Monitor suppliers’ control operations to ensure compliance with Barclays standards and contractual obligations, including quality, risk mitigation, and commercial activities.
  6. Collaborate with regulatory teams to support global regulatory requests, exams, and ongoing activities.

  15. Resolve problems by applying technical experience and precedents.
  16. Communicate complex or sensitive information effectively and persuade team members.
  17. Act as a contact point for external stakeholders, building a network of contacts.
