Shetland Islands Council is advertising a part-time post based at Hamnavoe Primary School in Shetland. The role focuses on the safe supervision and welfare of pupils during breaks, with duties in dining hall, playgrounds, and school premises.
PVG scheme clearance is required, and you may be offered flexible working arrangements. The position is 4.0 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, with pro-rata holiday entitlement and related terms.
Responsible, under the direction of the head of establishment or such other officer as may be designated by the authority, individually or as a member of a team, for securing the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the break period in accordance with the practices and procedures of the local authority. Duties will include supervision of the pupils in the dining hall, playground areas and school premises and may include ancillary associated duties (for example cleaning up spillages, ensuring tables are clean, etc) to ensure the maintenance of good order and discipline.
