Job summary

Langdale Leisure Limited in Ambleside is seeking a Pub Supervisor for Wainwrights Inn. This on-site role oversees day-to-day pub service, leads the FOH team, and ensures a seamless guest experience with a warm, professional atmosphere.

You will work closely with the kitchen, manage bar and floor operations, uphold hygiene standards, and maximise spend through upselling while maintaining service excellence at peak times.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a hospitality team is essential.
• Challenge 25 and licensing knowledge is beneficial.
• Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day to day pub service, ensuring smooth operations, including opening and closing duties.
• Leading FOH team members and supporting training initiatives.
• Managing bar and floor operations proactively.
• Ensuring excellent guest experience and handling escalations to the Wainwrights Inn Management team.
• Coordinating with the kitchen to ensure seamless service.
• Upholding hygiene, safety, and licensing standards.
• Supporting stock rotation, ordering, and waste management.
• Maintaining a strong presence during peak service periods.
• Drive exceptional guest satisfaction through high service standards, effective complaint resolution, and strong mystery diner performance.
• Foster a positive, collaborative working environment while supporting and working closely with the Food and Beverage team at all levels.
• Maximise average spend through upselling opportunities while maintaining full compliance with food safety standards.

Hours: 39 hours per week

Live-in accommodation may be available for exceptional candidates.

This role is based on‑site at Langdale Hotel and Spa, Ambleside, LA22 9JD.

Role Summary

The Wainwrights Inn Supervisor delivers seamless service and memorable guest experiences. Supporting and inspiring the team, maintaining high standards, and creating a welcoming, excellence - driven environment for both staff and guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing day to day pub service, ensuring smooth operations, including opening and closing duties.
