Job description

Thrive Recruitment Group is seeking a Supervisor/Team Leader for our client based in Hesketh Bank, near Tarleton, in the Southport area.

Duties:

The role involves overseeing and assisting with washing and packing produce items in accordance with company policies, from field to dispatch. Responsibilities include:

1. Organising orders, staff, and workloads for the day
2. Record keeping for audits
3. Maintaining Health & Safety standards

Part of the Team Leader/Supervisor role includes working within the packhouse, which involves:

1. Packing produce on a production line
2. Washing and preparing produce items
3. Maintaining Health & Safety standards
4. Driving a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT)

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday, starting at 6am until finish, which may be up to 6pm. Some Saturday mornings may be required during busy periods.

Pay:

£12.21 per hour. After a trial/training period, the client may pay up to £14.00 per hour depending on the individual's performance.

Requirements for the Role:

• Demonstrate good team-leading skills with a flexible approach to working hours
• Experience in production line, packing, or agricultural backgrounds is beneficial
• If you possess a FLT Counterbalance licence (in-house or expired), it is a definite advantage
• Ability to start work at 6am and commute to Hesketh Bank near Southport
• Willingness to work long hours when necessary
• Candidates without supervisory experience but with a willingness to learn and develop will be considered

Contract Duration:

Long-term, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
