i2, a Harris Computer company, is seeking a skilled Software Engineering (Server) Team Lead to join one of our development teams and help us enhance our i2 products and services, used by over 2000 law enforcement, national security, military, and major commercial organizations in 140 countries worldwide.

This permanent position is remote, with a requirement to visit the i2 Office in Cambridge, UK, approximately 2 days per month.

Your core duties include:

1. Team management and efficiency

• Onboard new members effectively, familiarizing them with team processes, tools, and culture.
• Monitor team performance metrics and report to the engineering manager for data-driven decisions.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

Innovation and Strategy

• Contribute to technology strategy and product roadmaps.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements.

Technical Leadership

• Establish and update development best practices and standards.
• Lead the guild, influencing problem-solving approaches and promoting best practices.
• Champion new tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
