Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a dedicated Supervisor - Zero Hours Retail to help ensure the smooth running of operations on a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week.

As a Supervisor, you will lead a frontline team, check deliveries, handle till operations, and contribute to stock management and rotas. The role offers development opportunities within a large hospitality employer and flexible shift patterns.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising frontline teams in a retail or catering environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Check and store deliveries promptly and correctly.
• Supervise a team and foster a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Act as a responsible key holder.
• Operate the till, take orders and process payments.
• Assist with weekly bookwork and other duties as needed.
• Produce weekly rotas following manager guidelines.
• Place stock orders to maintain correct levels.
• Delegate tasks and keep the team proactive.
• Comply with Food Handling and Hygiene standards.
• Follow Health and Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Supervisor - Zero Hours Retail to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Compass Group UK&I on a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week.

Your Key Responsibilities May Include

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Using the till, taking order and receiving payments
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
