Job summary

Specialist Passenger Solutions (SPS), a division of First Bus, is seeking a Supervisor to join on-site teams in Ipswich and Sizewell C. You will manage drivers, buses and passenger flow, schedule shifts, handle queries, and ensure safety and compliance across depots on a 24/7 operation.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £18.71 plus overtime uplift, plus benefits and opportunities for development within SPS.

Qualifications

• PCV/Cat D Licence required.
• Confident with IT and able to use tracking systems.
• Experience in customer service or handling complaints.
• Willingness to work flexible 24/7 shifts.
• Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety and positive behaviour on-site.
• Manage daily scheduling, driver allocation, and vehicle issues.
• Handle customer queries and manage queues.
• Oversee bus stands and secure gate areas.
• Record passenger data and shift information accurately.
• Support SPS values and teamwork across all operations.
• Ensure compliance with company and safety standards.

SPS was formed in 2016 and serves the passenger transport needs of the EDF Nuclear Project at Hinkley Point C (HPC)in Bridgwater, the largest construction project in Europe. We are the only transport provider for the thousands of people who go to the construction site daily to work or visit. We are now bringing this experience to Sizewell C in Suffolk, providing safe, reliable, and efficient transport for its workforce.

What You’ll Need

Essential:

• PCV/Cat D Licence
• Confident with IT
• Customer service or complaint-handling experience
• Flexible to work shifts (24/7 operation)
• Full driving licence

Desirable:

• Supervisory experience
• Management experience
• Knowledge of the transport sector
