Job Description:
- Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Materials Planners, fostering their continuous growth and development.
- Share proven strategies and serve as a knowledgeable resource in Materials Planning within the business unit.
- Use the MPS/MRP feature in the ERP system to facilitate materials planning and ordering.
- Handle key item settings in the ERP system to ensure accurate system functionality.
- Monitor and reconcile exception messages.
- Collaborate with suppliers to manage material delivery dates and optimize production plans.
- Recognize and report backorders or supplier performance issues to the Procurement Team.
- Provide accurate component forecasts and support strategic sourcing processes.
- Generate inventory projections and reporting for Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods.
- Contribute to Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) meetings.
- Coordinate closely with Operations and Manufacturing Planning to optimize schedule adherence.
- Collaborate with various departments to minimize schedule changes within the frozen window.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities.
- Support expansion and harmonization projects.
- Provide backup support for other team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Procurement, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis using Excel.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing concepts, finite scheduling, product flow, and supply chain planning.
- Experience with MRP/ERP and APS systems (Oracle, ASCP, SAP, JDE, M2M, server-based systems).
- Preferred certifications: APICS CPIM, CSCP, ISM CPSM, Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher).
