Job summary

GFSL is seeking an Electrical Supervisor for HMP Downview (SM2 5PD) to oversee electrical work across a prison campus, coordinating with Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners and Administrators to maintain safety and security.

The role is permanent full time (39 hours/week) with a salary of £48,412.56 plus £2,500 in allowances per annum. Five years’ experience, a full driving license (D1 preferred) and relevant electrical qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience as an electrician or equivalent.
• Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical, building services.
• Experience of supervising staff.
• Full driving license preferably with D1.
• C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
• Certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations
• 18th Edition
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

Electrical Supervisor

Location: HMP Downview - SM2 5PD

Salary: £48,412.56 + an additional £2,500 in allowances per annum.

Future Plans.

GFSL has been notified by it's shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM Services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
