Job summary

Gov Facilities Services Limited is seeking an Electrical Supervisor for HMP Highpoint. The role is full-time (39 HPW) with a salary around £48,412.56 plus a 5% shift allowance.

You will work with a team of trades to maintain a safe, secure prison environment. Candidates should have at least five years as an electrician or equivalent, plus experience in commercial/industrial electrical or building services and supervisory duties.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience as an electrician or equivalent.
• Experience on commercial/industrial electrical/building services.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Full driving licence preferably with D1.
• C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installations) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent).
• Certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations.
• 18th Edition.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP Highpoint, a Category C & Adult/Male prison.

As an Electrical Supervisor you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Electrical Supervisor with any combination of:

• Five years' experience as an electrician or equivalent
• Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical, building services
• Experience of supervising staff

Future Plans.

GFSL has been notified by it's shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM Services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
