Job summary

GFSL is seeking a dedicated Electrician to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP The Mount in Hemel Hempstead. You will work on prison electrical systems, support planned maintenance, and contribute to a safe and secure environment.

The ideal candidate has two years’ experience, 18th Edition, BS7671, C&G 2367/2357 or NVQ Level 3, and strong health and safety knowledge. We offer £41,062–£44,689 plus £1,000 RRA and a 5% shift allowance, holidays and benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience as an electrician is required.
• Experience on commercial/industrial electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of planned preventive maintenance.
• Qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 and NVQ 3 or equivalent.

Salary: £41,062.25- £44,688.51 plus £1000 in RRA per annum and 5% shift allowance

Contract: Full time/Permanent x2 positions available

We are seeking a dedicated Electrician to join our team at a HMP The Mount, a category C prison.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Electrician with any combination of:

• Two years' experience working in a role as an electrician
• Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
• Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
• Electrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
• 18th Edition
• Certificate in BS7671
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
