Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd seeks an Electrical Supervisor to join the Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Downview, a Category C female prison. The role covers electrical supervision, safety, and coordination with plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners and admins to keep a secure, well-run site.

We require five years’ experience as an electrician, strong building services knowledge, and a valid full driving licence (D1 preferred).

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience as an electrician or equivalent.
• Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical/building services.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Full driving license preferably with D1.
• C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
• Certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations.
• 18th Edition.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

Salary: £48,412.56 + an additional £2,500 in allowances per annum.

Contract: Permanent Full Time - 39 hours per week

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP Downview, a Category C female prison.

As an Electrical Supervisor you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Electrical Supervisor with any combination of:

• Five years' experience as an electrician or equivalent

Future Plans.

GFSL has been notified by it's shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM Services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
