Job summary

The Entertainer is hiring a 30 hour Supervisor for the East Kilbride store in The Plaza Shopping Centre. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, coach Sales Assistants and help run the store when needed.

You will focus on customer service, merchandising, stock checks, deliveries and promotions, with weekend cover and flexible shift patterns. Living within a reasonable distance and a proactive, energetic approach are key.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing or supervising a small team.
• Flexible approach to working hours and commitment to resource the store effectively.
• Comfortable using computers/tablets to complete tasks and increase productivity.
• Ability to identify sales opportunities and implement new ideas.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including Sundays on a rota basis and run the store in the absence of management.
• Oversee day-to-day operations: cash/till areas, refunds, till reconciliations.
• Lead by example with excellent customer service; motivate the team.
• Implement in-store promotions; be commercial and well-informed.
• Manage stock: stockroom standards, deliveries, merchandising, minimize stock loss.
• Handle store administration: starters/leavers, rota management, recruitment support.

Why Us?

When you join us as a Supervisor at The Entertainer, East Kilbride in The Plaza Shopping Centre you will be a key member of the store’s management team and a role model for our Sales Assistants. You will be there to support your Store Manager in the day to day running of your store, ensuring the team are focussed and performing to their full potential, and show your manager what you’re all about when running the store independently to cover days off and holidays.

You will have the opportunity to make a real difference with your colleagues too, playing an important role in coaching and motivating the team to help them achieve the best they can be in both their personal development and helping the store deliver exceptional store standards and customer service.

You will be energetic, outgoing, keen and possess a natural flair for retailing. Ideally you will live within 30-45 minutes of your store and be flexible to work the shift patterns that the store operation requires, especially during October to December. Weekend key-holder cover is also a basic requirement of this role.

As a 30 hour Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Opening and closing the store, including Sundays on a rota basis and running the store successfully in the absence of the Store management
• Ensure smooth running of day-to-day operations and routines including cash and till areas, dealing with customer refunds and till reconciliations
• Lead by example, demonstrating an exceptional customer service experience, inspiring your team to do the same
• Implement in-store promotions, be commercial and ensure staff are motivated and well informed
• Actively participate in stock management including stockroom standards, managing deliveries, merchandising and minimising stock loss
• Routine store administration including starters & leavers, rota management and supporting recruitment when asked
