Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a Retail Supervisor on a part-time basis to support operations at a major High Street brand. The role involves supervising frontline teams, handling deliveries, till operations, and weekly bookwork, with shift patterns of 3 out of 7 days.

You will work in a busy retail environment, ensuring food hygiene and health & safety standards are met, and you’ll have opportunities to progress within the company that values its people and performance.

Responsibilities

• Check and store deliveries promptly and correctly.
• Supervise a team and create a welcoming environment.
• Serve as a responsible key holder and operate the till.
• Take orders, receive payments and handle weekly bookwork.
• Prepare weekly rotas following manager guidance.
• Place stock orders to maintain inventory levels.
• Delegate tasks and ensure proactive team performance.
• Comply with Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Retail Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in a major High Street brand on a part time basis, contracted to 16 hours per week.

Your Key Responsibilities May Include

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Using the till, taking order and receiving payments
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
