Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting a Site Supervisor for a highways scheme in Warrington. The role is a 12-month contract with day/night/weekend shifts, offering a daily rate of £300–£350 (Ltd company options available).

You will supervise day-to-day site operations, coordinate gangs and subcontractors, read drawings, promote safety and ensure works are delivered on time and to the required quality. Essential experience delivering highways and civil works, RAMS, and strong leadership are expected.

Qualifications

• SMSTS qualification is required.
• Highways Passport is required.
• First aid qualification is required.
• Experience delivering highways and civil engineering works.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site operations and ensure works are delivered in line with programme requirements
• Manage and coordinate gangs, subcontractors, and site resources effectively
• Drive progress on site and proactively identify and resolve issues impacting delivery
• Ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction information
• Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure RAMS compliance
• Monitor productivity and support the Site Manager in achieving project milestones
• Maintain strong communication with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners
• Promote a positive health and safety culture across the workforce

About the Role:
