Job summary

Major Recruitment Wigan is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team in a fast-paced environment. You will drive safety, quality, delivery and cost targets while coaching the team to achieve operational excellence.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to meet deadlines. This is an on-site position in Blackburn with a competitive salary and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisor or team leader role.
• Strong communication and people management skills.

• Lean manufacturing knowledge or experience is desirable.
• IOSH and/or ILM qualifications are desirable.

Job description:

Production Supervisor

Location: Blackburn

Salary: £40,068.06 per annum

Shift Pattern

• Rotating shifts: 06:00 - 14:00
• Rotating shifts: 14:00 - 22:00

Overtime Rates

• 1.5x hourly rate for weekday and Saturday overtime
• 2x hourly rate for Sunday overtime

Annual Bonus

Opportunity to earn up to 15% of annual salary through the company's performance bonus scheme. Bonus period runs January to December and is paid in March. Pro-rated for employees joining part way through the year.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team within a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost targets while developing and supporting their team to achieve operational excellence.

Experience & Skills

Essential

• Proven ability to work to deadlines and achieve targets.

Desirable

• Manufacturing leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
• IOSH and/or ILM qualifications.
