Job summary

Camira are seeking a Knitting Machine Operator in Holmfirth to operate Stoll machines, follow production plans, and ensure high-quality fabric delivery to customers. Full training will be provided.

The role includes night shifts (10:00pm–6:00am) or rotating double-day shifts, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency on the production line.

Qualifications

• Previous experience or an understanding of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience within a production environment and/or machine operator role would be beneficial.
• Data input may be required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements.
• Produce products to the agreed specification by following processes.
• Quality checking to ensure a quality product is knitted and delivered to the customer.
• Maintain Stoll machines to standard working practices for smooth running operation and efficiency.
• Attend daily meetings to ensure a smooth shift handover.
• Change over machines to sustain production flow.
• Data input may be required.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.

Purpose of the role

To operate Stoll machines according to production plans and specifications to deliver high quality products and meet customer demands. Full Training Provided.

The day to day

• Adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements
• Produce products to the agreed specification by following processes
• Quality checking to ensure a quality product is knitted and delivered to the customer
• Maintain Stoll machines to in accordance with standard working practices to ensure smooth running operation and efficiency of the machine
• Ensure a smooth shift handover by attending daily meetings
• Change over machines to ensure smooth running of the manufacturing process
• Other Considerations: Data Input required

Shift Pattern

• Two positions operate on a permanent night shift pattern (10:00pm to 6:00am).
• One position operates on a rotating double-day shift pattern:
  • Week 1: 6:00am to 2:00pm
  • Week 2: 2:00pm to 10:00pm
