Job summary

Mears Group PLC in North Lanarkshire seeks an experienced Supervisor to join the Housing operations team. The role oversees a portfolio of properties, leading operatives and coordinating with clients and subcontractors to ensure service delivery, safety and quality standards.

Based mainly in the field with some office work from the Coatbridge office, the role requires strong planning, communication and problem-solving skills, and a full UK driving licence.

We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our Housing operations team in North Lanarkshire. This is a varied role that offers the opportunity to lead operational activities across a portfolio of properties while ensuring high standards of service delivery, health and safety compliance and customer satisfaction. Working predominantly in the field with some office-based activity from our Coatbridge office, you will manage day-to-day operations, support operatives, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and help ensure works are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
As a Supervisor, you will support the operational delivery of housing maintenance activities across North Lanarkshire. You will be responsible for supervising operatives, planning resources, monitoring performance and ensuring compliance with company procedures and health and safety standards.

Role Criteria

• Trade experience
• Supervisory experience within the construction industry
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer focus and commitment to service excellence
• Organisational and planning skills to manage resources and meet deadlines
• Very good problem solver
• Willing to learn and support the team by being adaptable to all manners of the works
