We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Full Time Supervising Social Worker to join our team to develop and promote fostering services in Cymru South. Our office is based in Bridgend with a hybrid working model for flexibility.

Duties Include:
  • Supporting foster parents to achieve positive outcomes
  • Monitoring foster parent suitability and competence
  • Providing supervision and support in line with FCA standards
  • Working collaboratively with families and participating in relevant meetings
  • Ensuring compliance with documentation and policies
  • Attending meetings and providing reports for care packages
  • Encouraging participation of children and young people in agency development
  • Participating in out-of-hours support and duty systems
  • Conducting home visits and assessments
Requirements:
  • Professional registration with Social Work Wales or equivalent
  • High standard report writing skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays
  • Confidence in transporting children in stressful situations
