Job description

Location: Remote - Chester / West Cheshire / Wirral / North Shropshire

Salary Range: £32,341 - £34,090 per annum

Hours: 30 hours per week, 4 days a week

Closing Date: Monday 23rd June 2025

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Supervising Social Worker (SSW) to join our friendly fostering charity. The role is primarily remote, with regular opportunities to meet with colleagues regionally and across the agency.

The role involves recruiting, assessing, supervising, and supporting Foster Carers to maintain our quality fostering service for looked after children. Responsibilities include recruiting Foster Carers, traveling to their homes as needed (including longer distances), leading projects, delivering training and support groups, and participating in an 'out of hours' duty system approximately 5 times a year.
