Compass Bloom Mental Health Support Team is hiring a Supervising Practitioner in Lancashire. You will oversee a team delivering early intervention mental health services to children and young people, providing clinical supervision and day-to-day guidance.
You will undertake a postgraduate Supervising Practitioner qualification while working, and collaborate with schools to promote whole-school wellbeing and high standards of care.
Ready to use your expertise to guide and support a team delivering early intervention mental health support to children and young people?
As a Supervising Practitioner, you'll be part of our Compass Bloom Mental Health Support Team, working alongside schools to deliver evidence based interventions and promote whole school approaches to mental wellbeing, while ensuring practitioners feel supported and safe in their practice.
As part of this role, you'll undertake a postgraduate Supervising Practitioner qualification. You'll study alongside your role, developing the knowledge, skills and confidence to provide high quality clinical supervision.
You'll hold a small caseload and work directly with young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, while providing clinical supervision, reflective spaces and day to day guidance to colleagues. You'll play an important role in embedding good practice, supporting professional development and maintaining high standards of care.
Working closely with schools, Team Leaders and the wider Compass team, you'll help drive quality and consistency across the service, supporting practitioners and contributing to service development.
You care deeply about young people's mental health, and you're ready to bring your experience, empathy and leadership into a role where you can really make a difference. You're someone who people turn to for support, direction and reassurance and you know how to hold that space with care and confidence.
You'll bring:
You might also bring a Postgraduate Certificate in Supervision, training in low-intensity CBT, or experience working in a skill-mixed team but we're more interested in the way you think, lead and show up for others than in ticking every box.
If you're someone who believes in doing the right thing, even when it's hard and you're excited to support others to do their best work then this could be exactly the role you've been looking for.
