Job summary

Compass is seeking a Team Leader to steer a Mental Health Support Team (MHST) across Derby schools. You will provide day-to-day leadership to a talented group, supporting practitioners to deliver safe, effective interventions and shaping partnerships with schools and local providers.

This role requires a resilient, people-focused leader who can drive clinical decision-making, oversee risk management and embed inclusive, evidence-based practice across services.

Qualifications

• A recognised qualification in a relevant area such as social work, nursing or psychology.
• Registration with a professional body (e.g. NMC, HCPC).
• Experience delivering CBT with children and young people with complex needs.
• A supervision qualification or willingness to complete one.
• Experience leading or managing teams in a multi-agency setting.
• Strong safeguarding, risk management and mental health legislation knowledge.
• Analytical skills with confidence using data, systems and digital tools to improve services.
• Excellent communication, planning and workload management skills.
• BABCP accreditation or service improvement involvement is a bonus.

About You

You ` re a confident, compassionate leader who brings energy, insight and integrity to everything you do. You care about getting things right for children and young people, and you know how to support others to deliver safe, effective and meaningful mental health support.

You`ll bring:
