About the role

As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help make a difference for our customers on every visit by providing partner-led service and a passion for food that sets us apart. Your enthusiasm to go the extra mile will enhance the impression of the Waitrose brand, earning customer trust and loyalty for a lifetime.

Applicants must be 18 or over due to working time regulations.

In addition to the stated pay, you will receive a shift premium for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00, paid at the role's minimum pay rate.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and products in the right place.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery.
• Reducing wastage through product due diligence and markdowns.
• Supporting the wider shop team with checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Interest and knowledge of food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the branch.
