Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently studying an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science or another STEM field.
• Interest in real-world engineering challenges and learning from engineers and stakeholders.
• Willingness to develop technical and professional skills during a 9-week placement.

Responsibilities

• Apply and develop your technical knowledge to investigate a real engineering problem or opportunity.
• Understand the problem and its wider context, including customer and stakeholder needs.
• Gather, analyse and interpret information to support engineering decisions.
• Explore potential solutions and assess benefits, limitations and wider implications.
• Use Systems Engineering methods such as requirements analysis and modelling where appropriate.
• Collaborate with engineers and specialists from different disciplines to learn and contribute ideas.
• Document and communicate your work clearly to stakeholders.
• Contribute to engineering capability and process improvement where relevant.
• Assist in design, integration, verification or support of complex systems.
