Job summary

Arup in Manchester is offering a 6-week summer internship in Structural Engineering within our Buildings teams. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience.

You will perform structural calculations, analyses and modelling, explore economical and low-carbon design options, and communicate results through drawings, BIM and reports. We welcome MSc/MEng/BEng students pursuing Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering and a demonstrated interest in the built

Qualifications

• Studying towards MSc, MEng or BEng in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering or equivalent.
• Interest in structural engineering and developing a career in built environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural calculations, analysis and modelling as part of Buildings teams.
• Help choose economical, practical structures and details that reduce embodied carbon.
• Communicate through drawings, digital modelling, calculation documents, BIM, and reports.
