Arup in Manchester is offering a 6-week summer internship with our Buildings teams across the UK. This opportunity is ideal for students keen on Building Design and structural engineering to join a multi-disciplinary team.

The role involves carrying out structural calculations, analysis and modelling, selecting economical, workable details, and communicating through drawings, BIM, reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• For this opportunity, studying towards MSc, MEng or BEng in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• For a career in the built environment, with a genuine interest in structural engineering.

Responsabilités

• Carry out structural calculations, analysis and modelling.
• Choose economical and practical structures and details minimising embodied carbon.
• Communicate through drawings, digital modelling, BIM, calculations, reports and meetings.
