Arup is offering a 6-week Summer Internship in Structural Engineering in Manchester. You will join a multi-disciplinary Buildings team and work on real structural design tasks, including calculations, modelling and detailing.

The role emphasizes sustainable development, low embodied carbon and clear communication through BIM, drawings and reports. The ideal candidate is pursuing an MSc/MEng/BEng in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering, with a genuine passion for the built environment

Qualifications

• Studying toward MSc, MEng or BEng in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering or equivalent.
• Genuine interest in structural engineering and building design careers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural calculations, analysis and modelling.
• Propose economical, sustainable structures with low embodied carbon.
• Create and review drawings, sketches, and BIM models to support projects.
• Communicate design decisions through reports, meetings and emails.
