MBDA UK Ltd invites applications for a 10-week Software Engineer Summer Placement starting June 2027. You will gain hands-on experience across embedded and front-end software, primarily in C/C++ on Windows/Linux platforms, with exposure to DevOps concepts.

The role requires an undergraduate in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. On-site work in Stevenage with potential for a graduate pathway, and BPSS security checks post-offer.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate working towards a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or relevant Engineering field.
• Interest in embedded and front-end software development.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to multiple development stages in weapons systems, embedded and front-end software.
• Develop skills in Windows and Linux environments using C and C++ (ADA/C#/Python where relevant).
• Learn about functional and technical robustness of project deliverables.
• Document technical work thoroughly and clearly.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand the business.
