Job summary

St Edmund’s College in Standon seeks a Summer School Director to lead, develop and grow its established Summer School programme. The role combines strategic vision, commercial awareness and strong operational management to deliver an exceptional student experience while meeting ambitious financial targets.

You will work with the Headmaster and College teams, shape a medium-term plan, build partnerships overseas and ensure safeguarding standards, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in summer schools, education, hospitality, international programmes or related environment.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills with commercial confidence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and day-to-day operation of the Summer School.
• Develop and implement a medium-term business plan for sustainable growth.
• Take responsibility for financial performance, budgets and fees.
• Develop and deliver a marketing strategy to raise profile and reach.
• Build relationships with overseas agents and international partnerships.
• Recruit and manage academic, residential and pastoral teams.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, QA and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor performance and report to Headmaster, Bursar and Board.
• Identify new business opportunities and potential expansion areas.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers for quality service.
