Job summary

St Edmunds College invites applications for a Summer School Director to lead and grow its established Summer School programme. The role combines strategic vision, commercial awareness and operational management to deliver an exceptional student experience while meeting ambitious financial and growth targets.

The director will work with the Headmaster, Bursar and College departments to oversee planning, budgeting, marketing and international partnerships, with safeguarding and regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience in leading or managing a programme or department is required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Leading planning and day-to-day operational delivery of the Summer School.
• Developing and implementing a medium-term business plan to support sustainable growth.
• Taking responsibility for financial performance, including budgets, course fees and targets.
• Developing and delivering an effective marketing and promotional strategy to raise profile and reach.
• Building relationships with overseas agents and developing international partnerships.
• Recruiting and managing academic, residential and pastoral teams.
• Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Monitoring performance and reporting to Headmaster, Bursar and Board of Governors.
• Identifying new business opportunities and potential areas for expansion.
• Collaborating with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure high-quality service.
