Job summary

Arup is recruiting Electrical Building Services Engineering summer students to join our Buildings teams across the UK. This 6‑week internship offers hands‑on experience in delivering design work and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team on strategic projects.

You will support designers, gain exposure to software tools, and observe how we operate on real client assignments, collaborating with architects, engineers and project managers to deliver professional services.

Qualifications

• Studying towards an MEng or BEng in Electrical, Architectural or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.
• On track to achieve a 2.1 or above (or equivalent), as proven through the modules completed to date.
• Demonstrate strong motivation and passion for a career in building design.

Responsibilities

• Support team members to deliver an effective and professional service to clients on strategic projects.
• Assist in preparing designs in coordination with the team and gain understanding of the role of a design engineer.
• Collaborate with Architects, Building Services and Structural Engineers, Surveyors and Project Managers within multidisciplinary teams.
