Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is recruiting a Project Engineer for the Great Grid project at High Marnham, Nottinghamshire. The role supports delivery on a major electrical infrastructure scheme with emphasis on temporary works, dimensional control and CAD data integration.

We seek Civil Engineering degree holders with about 8 years’ Civil Engineering experience in construction delivery, strong method knowledge, procurement exposure, and proven team leadership to coordinate Senior Engineers across

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or an industry recognised qualification (e.g. HNC, HND, NVQ level 4)
• About 8 years' experience in a Civil Engineering capacity
• Experience in construction delivery environments is desirable

Responsibilities

• Utilise a Digital Engineering model to provide information to create Visual Method Statements and Visual Task sheets
• Fully implement and ensure compliance with the LOR Management of Temporary Works procedure on projects
• Determine appropriate methods of dimensional control and transfer setting out data from 3D CAD data
• Determine the requirement for and format of as-built surveys and reports; define survey scope to demonstrate compliance
• Produce and ensure ITPs are produced, available and implemented and address specifications and contractual obligations
• Ensure adherence to project and company quality procedures
• Utilise and recommend best engineering methods
• Design process knowledge
• Procurement
• Management of a team of Senior Engineers (project dependant)
