Job summary

Active (Pathways) Solutions Ltd is seeking a hardworking Mechanical Fitter to work on a substation project in Sanquhar, DG4. You will be on-site Monday to Friday, 45–50 hours per week, with a weekend rate of 45 GBP/hour. The role requires fixing, installing and maintaining mechanical systems, reading drawings, and working safely with a team.

Experience with substations and site qualifications (CSCS, IPAF/NPORS) is preferred. LTD or CIS payment options apply.

Qualifications

• Relevant mechanical fixing experience.
• Hold the required site qualifications.
• References available on request.
• Good understanding of construction health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical fixing and installation work on site.
• Install, assemble and position mechanical components and equipment.
• Read and work from drawings, plans and specifications.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Work with other trades and site teams.
• Follow site health and safety procedures at all times.
• Keep work areas safe, clean and tidy.
• Follow instructions from Site Manager and supervisors.
