Our Civils team has a fantastic opportunity for a Substation Electrician based in Penrith, working across the Lakes area.

Role Overview

As a Substation Electrician, you will maintain and inspect electrical installations in ENWL High Voltage substations. Your duties will include installation and testing of wiring systems and circuits within our substations. Additionally, you will receive training to undertake:

• Safety standby duties in substations, supervising contractors;
• Visual inspections of LV feeder pillars and cable link boxes;
• Electrical installation quality inspections and testing.

What We’re Looking For

• Completion of an electrician apprenticeship or equivalent;
• City & Guilds or NVQ qualifications in a relevant field;
• Experience as an electrician;
• A valid driver’s license.
