The Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) is a registered charity transforming the lives of people affected by drug and alcohol misuse for over 40 years. Aspire partnership with RDaSH blends NHS features with voluntary sector flexibility and community focus.

Join our Criminal Justice Team to work with courts, probation and prisons, helping people address challenges related to substance misuse and build healthier futures. This role welcomes newly qualified social workers through the ASYE programme.

About the role

The Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) is a registered charity that has been transforming the lives of people affected by drug and alcohol misuse for over 40 years. Our Aspire partnership brings together ADS and Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH), combining the strengths of NHS provision with the expertise, flexibility and community focus of the voluntary sector.

Join our Criminal Justice Team

Our Criminal Justice Team works with people involved in the judicial system, supporting them to make positive changes, achieve meaningful goals and move away from offending.

You’ll work closely with courts, probation services and prisons, helping people address the often-complex challenges associated with substance misuse and supporting them to build a healthier, more positive future.

This is a role where every day is different and where your professional knowledge, compassion and ability to build trusting relationships can make a real and lasting difference.

What we’re looking for

• Has experience of working with people affected by substance misuse, or a genuine interest in developing their expertise in this area.


• Is passionate about helping people overcome challenges and make lasting positive changes.


• Can build effective, trusting relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds.


• Is confident working collaboratively with partner agencies, including courts, probation and prisons.


• Is committed to strengths-based, person-centred practice.

Newly Qualified Social Worker?

We welcome applications from newly qualified Social Workers and can support you through the ASYE programme.

• Salary: £26,682 – £32,559, depending on experience.
