Job summary

The Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) invites applications for a motivated professional to join our Groupwork Team. We deliver structured group programmes and one-to-one interventions across diverse settings, combining face-to-face and virtual sessions to meet service users where they are.

You will help people develop skills, confidence and resilience for sustainable recovery, contribute to our accredited mentor programme, and work with local communities to strengthen recovery networks and support.

Qualifications

• Experience in the substance misuse field is preferred.
• Degree in Psychology, Sociology or Social Work, or a Health & Social Care Diploma.
• Level 3 qualification in Tackling Substance Misuse required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidenced-based group work and one-to-one interventions.
• Develop volunteers, mentors and their role within the service.
• Line manage Group Workers.
