Job summary

The Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) is recruiting for a motivated professional to join the Aspire Groupwork Team, delivering evidence-based group programmes and one-to-one interventions. Sessions are offered face-to-face and virtually to reach clients in local communities.

You will help people develop skills, confidence and resilience to sustain recovery, with opportunities to contribute to our mentor programme and work collaboratively with partners.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within the substance misuse field.
• A relevant degree, such as Psychology, Sociology or Social Work, or a Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• A Level 3 qualification in Tackling Substance Misuse (or equivalent).
• Experience of delivering groupwork programmes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured, evidence-based group programmes alongside one-to-one interventions across a variety of settings.
• Work flexibly, delivering sessions both face-to-face and virtually.
• Help people develop skills, confidence and resilience to make sustainable changes and long-term recovery.
• Collaborate with local communities to strengthen recovery networks and ongoing support.
• Contribute to the accredited mentor programme to support volunteers.
