Job summary

Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) in Doncaster is seeking a dedicated Open Access and Assessment specialist to support individuals entering treatment. You will provide advice, brief interventions, structured key working, and comprehensive assessments, including needle exchange services.

The role requires relevant qualifications (degree in Psychology/Sociology/Social Work, Diploma in Health and Social Care, or Level 3 Tackling Substance Misuse).

Qualifications

• Experience working within the substance misuse sector is desirable.
• A relevant qualification as listed above is required.
• We proudly support newly qualified Social Workers through ASYE.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice, brief interventions, structured key working, comprehensive assessments, and needle exchange service for people entering treatment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support individuals and families affected by substance misuse.

Skills

Experience in substance misuse sector

Education

Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or related field

Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)

Level 3 Tackling Substance Misuse qualification
