Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in Aberdeen is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to steer technical enquiries from first contact through to sales orders, applying deep product knowledge across subsea technologies.

You will develop solutions with clients, prepare proposals and quotations, support pre- and post-sales activities, and work with operations teams to maximise margins while exploring new technology markets.

Qualifications

• HND or higher in Engineering/Science or equivalent experience.
• Proven relevant work experience at a comparable level may be accepted in the absence of formal qualifications.
• Subject matter expert with demonstrable strong technical product knowledge.
• Understanding of geomarket activity and assigned customers percentage of this activity.
• Good knowledge of standard software packages (CRM, MS Office, financial tools).
• Experience in subsea services and ROV tooling and decom packages.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence and negotiate.

Responsibilities

• Manage and update technical documentation and sales literature for key technologies.
• Interact with client representatives and internal coordinators to develop solutions.
• Develop business cases for technology applications and forecast profitability for business lines.
• Collaborate with workshop and operational teams to deliver solutions.
• Prepare technical proposals and quotations and ensure RFQ scope is understood.
• Prepare commercial invoices and delivery notes for equipment/sales deliveries.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to clients.
• Negotiate contracts and review terms with the legal team.
• Review cost and sales performance and identify margin improvements.
• Identify technology gaps and opportunities for market entry.
