Energy Jobline CVL in Aberdeen is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to steer technical enquiries from first contact through to sales orders, applying deep product knowledge across subsea technologies.

You will develop solutions with clients, prepare proposals and quotations, support pre- and post-sales activities, and work with operations teams to maximise margins while exploring new technology markets.

Qualificações

• HND or higher in Engineering/Science or equivalent experience.
• Proven relevant work experience at a comparable level may be accepted in the absence of formal qualifications.
• Subject matter expert with demonstrable strong technical product knowledge.
• Understanding of geomarket activity and assigned customers percentage of this activity.
• Good knowledge of standard software packages (CRM, MS Office, financial tools).
• Experience in subsea services and ROV tooling and decom packages.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence and negotiate.

Responsabilidades

• Identify technology gaps and opportunities for market entry.

Technical Sales Manager- Aberdeen

The Role

To manage technical enquiries through to sales orders applying subject matter knowledge to different business lines portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Manage and update technical documentation/sales literature for key technologies.
• Interact with client representatives and internal co-ordinators to develop solutions for customers.
• Develop business cases for technology applications and forecast impact to profitability for business lines.
• Work collaboratively with workshop and operational teams to deliver required solutions.
• Communicate with clients to interpret their requirements and prepare technical proposals and quotations ensuring the request for quotation (RFQ) is fully understood and maximized to scope of supply.
• Prepare Commercial invoices and delivery notes for equipment/sales deliveries to clients.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to clients.
• Negotiating contracts and reviewing terms and conditions (alongside legal team).
• Reviewing cost and sales performance.
• Recommend new technology development for business lines.
• Early engagement with customers to identify technology gaps.
• Budgetary assessment of equipment against potential market.
• Ensure awareness of emerging technology markets and identify business line entry.
• Deliver technical presentations to client base and industry forums.
• Interact with other business lines to identify other routes to markets of key technologies.
• Represent business at external key trade shows and events.
• Measure improvement in margins on key customers.

Requirements

• HND or higher qualification in Engineering / Science or equivalent industry experience.
• (Proven relevant work experience at a comparable level may be accepted in the absence of formal qualifications at this level).

• Considerable experience in the application of subsea services.
• Effective influencing and negotiating skills.
• Ability to effectively work unsupervised is essential.
• Attention to detail is extremely important along with effective organisational skills.
