Frazer-Nash Consultancy is seeking a Submarine Systems / Facilities Assurance Consultant to provide engineering and safety guidance across submarine enterprise projects from Plymouth.

You will engage in design and project management of facility improvements, assess emergent technologies, and contribute to safety substantiation and documentation for Norfolk-level naval programmes. Hybrid working with office and client sites.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of submarine ship systems, Nuclear Steam Raising Plant systems or Combat systems.
• Experience with safety regulation, policy and standards including UK MOD approaches (DSA regulations, NSR, Naval Authority Certification).
• Knowledge of safety analysis techniques (HAZID, SIL, functional hazard assessment, ALARP).

Responsabilités

• Provide professional systems engineering and safety guidance for submarine enterprise projects.
• Develop design and project management of nuclear submarine facility improvement projects.
• Assess new technologies and environmental considerations for future submarine classes.
• Produce safety substantiation and safety justification documents for modern nuclear safety cases.
• Support in-life submarine systems delivery and documentation improvement.
