Job summary

Rolls-Royce Submarines in Glasgow is seeking a Software/Hardware Integration Engineer to join the Dreadnought team. You will validate complex subsystems, integrate software, FPGA and hardware, and develop tests and artefacts to meet requirements.

The role is onsite, Monday–Friday, 37 hours, with security clearance considered essential. Responsibilities include test documentation, LRU testing, automated FPGA tests, and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Degree in Software or Electronics Engineering is required.
• Experience with FPGA development and validation.
• Experience integrating complex electronic products and diagnostics.
• Familiar with safety-critical development constraints (IEC62566).
• Experience in timing analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop test documentation including plans, procedures and reports.
• Develop test equipment solutions and LRU level testing.
• Develop automated testing procedures for FPGA designs and do integration testing against DOORS.
• Conduct failure investigations and root cause analysis.
• Ensure change control and configuration management, traceability to requirements.
• Support audits, design reviews and verification activities.
