Job summary

Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby is seeking an Electronic Engineer to join the In Service Electrical Department. You will review high-level electrical requirements, translate them into validated designs and develop electrical solutions to meet stringent standards.

The role involves analysis, modelling, capacity planning support and creating training materials for the team. This permanent, full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to Reactor Control, Power Systems and Plant Sensors

Job Title - Electronic Engineer - Submarines

Position Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Electronic Engineer to join our In Service Electrical Department at Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby. The In-Service Electrical Department supports the Reactor Control and Instrumentation, Power Systems and Plant Sensors equipment across the UK.

What you will be doing

• You will be reviewing and agreeing high level electrical requirements including their testability.
• Analysing and translating high level requirements into a validated design for the electrical component.
• Designing and implementing electrical designs to meet the high level requirements and design constraints/standards.
• Analysing electrical designs for functional behaviour, including modelling and simulation to demonstrate that the design meets the high level requirements
• Participating and supporting capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for the department, in conjunction with the department managers.
• Developing, implementing, documents, and maintains policies, procedures, associated guidelines, tools and training as required.
