RTX UK in Winnersh, near Wokingham, is seeking a Marine Engineering Submarine Modelling & Simulation Engineer (MESM-SM) for a permanent hybrid role. You will gather technical data, work with software/systems teams, and ensure models reflect real-world fidelity for DSAT simulations.

The role requires at-sea experience as Cat A/B Nuclear watchkeeper and a passion for training technology. Benefits include pension, life assurance and a flexible benefits scheme consistent with our Defence sector

Competenze

• Proven at sea experience as Cat A/B Nuclear watchkeeper.
• Desire to learn and apply best engineering practices with training/simulation.
• Experience operating or configuring simulators for training.

Mansioni

• Work as a member of the wider team responsible for the analysis, design, maintenance, review and production of DSAT Documentation & processes for our Customer’s training sites and organisations.
• Interviewing subject matter experts to collate required data, participate in internal workshops to discuss and agree findings from analysis.
• Work with the customer and the customer’s agents and suppliers to identify technical data required for courseware and media development and also external routes to obtain the data.
• Work with the systems engineering team to identify required levels of fidelity, accuracy and responsiveness and document this for the software engineering & modelling teams to implement.
• Configure operational parameters of simulators and emulators during development and testing phases.
• Identify where training methods and media currently in use in the Customer may be exploited to better develop and deliver the Programme’s courseware.
• Be ‘Responsible for championing and fostering a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement’.
